New guild officers are selected by current officers and leaders.  Officers are selected from full guild members who have indicated they are interested and willing to fulfill the officer responsibilities listed below. If you are interested in becoming an officer please let any leader or officer know so you can be considered for future officer openings.

  • Have a history of being an active participator on the GoV forums

  • Have reasonable play time each week. While officers are not required to be online a certain amount of time each week, guild officers are needed in-game to help with guild issues.

  • Be willing to discuss the recruitment process with any recruit candidate

  • Be willing to manage members and alts for the GoV web site. Note that this process is automated through online tools and does not require any knowledge of web programming.

  • Be willing to perform tasks for the guild meeting including but not limited to reviewing all member and building a promotions list, taking guild meeting notes and posting them to the member's forum, running a guild meeting and participating in the officer meeting prior to the guild meeting.

  • Contribute to all discussions within the officers’ forum. Officers are key members of the guild who help to define policy and help to handle any issues that may arise with the guild and its members. An officer's participation in forum and game discussions is of key importance.

  • Be willing to collect guild donations

  • Create news posts to recognize member and guild achievements. Note that there is a tool to manage this and no knowledge of web development is required.

  • Manage member forum access and let the forum administrators know if any membership should be revoked or changed.

  • Participate in guild events whenever possible

  • Help to coordinate and/or run guild events

  • Manage the guild keeps by helping to coordinate groups to claim, upgrading and downgrading when appropriate.

  • While guild members are not restricted to having characters in only one guild, due to the responsibility associated with the rank of officer, officers and officer candidates should not have alternate characters in any other active guild.
